Imp. Studio continues the screen-printing story of APG Works, the renowned studio, framing works, and gallery that enlivened the art scene in Sheffield for over 23 years, until July 2025. The last 17 of those were in a much loved old cutlery works courtyard in the heart of the city.

The team at Imp. Studio are talented and creative individuals who are working with APG’s original founder, Rupert Wood, to continue developing and sharing their craft with designers, artists and printmakers in a new studio close to their former works.

Our new name comes from the mark used by master printers to identify their part in creating editions: Imp., attached to a signature.
